City Free is wrapping up our time with our 3 amazing summer interns: Isabel, Sarah, and Tasha! Together, we have gotten to go deeper with women through women's gatherings, goofed off with teens at the pool and lake through youth group, and have had many organic moments like bike parades, scavenger hunts, delivering drinks to people living on the streets, and so much more. Our hearts were encouraged and challenged together in pursuing Jesus "upside down kingdom."
This past week was a beautiful snapshot of ministry and City Free as church! On Wednesday, one of our middle schoolers asked us to bring her and a few others to deliver drinks to individuals experiencing homelessness. We saw our middle schoolers engage in ways with no judgment and sheer curiosity. Two shared how they prayed over individuals they met and got to know pieces of their story. This is discipleship- a way of life! Also on Wednesday, we had another worship service with Village Hope on the North side of town. It was a sweet time getting to all be together. On Sunday, we had City Free worship out at Lake Columbia. Andy and Kristin Dale were such gracious hosts once again! There were so many special moments throughout the day that filled our cup. WE LOVE OUR CHURCH!
