Hey team!!!

It is still summer, but fall is coming fasttttt. I'm so excited for all the things the Lord is going to do as we continue to welcome people to JFM!

A couple upcoming things:
- August 9th - Communion
- August 23rd - Sunday Funday
- September - Celebration Sunday!!!

Also, if you haven't heard already, I'm getting MARRIED this weekend (August 8th!).  I'll still be working through Tuesday, but then I will be out on vacation until Sunday the 16th. If you have any questions or schedule conflicts, any of our awesome team captains should be able to help you!  

Are you ready? Here is another new thing!

We can now create GROUP MESSAGES through the JFM app!! This allows us to communicate with small groups, volunteer teams, etc. without having to have everyone's phone number and contact saved! It also allows to add / remove people at any time without making new groups. Anddddd it has lots of fun additional features like a prayer request feed for EVERY group, event calendars, the ability to share scripture directly in the app etc. In the same way you can group message, you can also individually message other people from our church!

I know you are thinking "Katelyn, what exactly are you asking us to do??? ". Great question!!! 😀

1. Download the JFM app.
2. Click the profile icon in the top right to sign-in!
3. After you do that, click the message icon at the top to open messaging.
4. If you click "discover" you will be able to see & search all the different groups!
 - Right now, our cafe team, next steps team, and welcome team have a group!
- Coffee & Safety team, y'all will still use your current communications, but you can join the welcome team group if you want that option for staying updated! 

Only one more for the summer!!! AUGUST 23rd!

We had to combine / move dates around to work around some vacations! If you are available to help serve that day, please let me know!

Celebration Sunday with be on SEPTEMBER 13th!!! Make sure you mark your calendars for this! We are starting to plan and prepare all the things, and one of the biggest is our volunteer team! It takes so many people working together to make this happen!

We will also need coffee & safety team this morning! If you are on those teams, let Mary or Chris know if you are available to serve that day.

Take a look at the church calendar! A super cool feature of this calendar is that when you open an event, it has a "Share" button and an "Add to Calendar" button. If you are talking to someone and they want more information on something, pull this up and text them the link by clicking share!

*Next Steps team - this is a great thing to look over to see what is coming up & to direct people to!!! If you are looking at an event in the app, there is also a share button that you can use to text the event info directly to someone!!!
