Every month we have 33+ people who distribute food at various destinations throughout Jackson County. Yes, we provide a felt need, but we also are very invested in developing new relationships and strengthening already established relationships. The personal interactions during pantries and Mobile Grocery can be powerful. We learn of positive things that our guests have experienced, and we get to celebrate with them. We learn of disappointments or difficult situations that they are experiencing, and we get to lift them up in prayer. Each of our interactions affect both our guests and our JFM volunteers.
We have many areas that could use more volunteers. Our biggest need would be on our Thursday Mobile Grocery. We can use 1-3 biweekly volunteers as well as subs for our other routes.
