Central Free Ready to Take the Right Next Steps

JFM puts great emphasis on looking for the right next steps.  With the transition from City Free Central to Central Free our team will meet to discuss what our next right steps will be.  We are anticipating great things to come in the upcoming months.

 Please join us in prayer as we seek God's guidance for our next steps.  

YOU ARE NEEDED!

Matthew 9:37-38
"The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.

We are making great strides in the neighborhood, but there is so much more that can happen with additional volunteers.  We are looking for the following:

  1. Additional people to come hang out at our Community events.  
  2. People to help transport our friends to our events and to church on Sunday.  
  3. A photographer to take pictures at our events and at Mobile Grocery.   
  4. Food team that would create menus, shop, cook and help set up and serve at our community meals. 
  5. Thursday Mobile Grocery volunteers from 12:15 - 2:00.

The goal is to create 1:1 or small group relationships to really pour into our friends.  This would create opportunities to have deeper spiritual conversations, and help our friends learn about personal faith or to develop their faith.

Central Prayer Requests

Please pray for the following Central Free requests:

1.  Pray Matthew 9:37-38 - "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.
2.  Pray that the residents are open to the Holy Spirit's prompting.  
3.  Pray for Walter who has had open heart surgery.  Pray for healing, and that he and his partner can find an apartment that is on the main level.  They are currently living on an upstairs apartment.
4.  Pray for Alcom who is struggling with alcohol.  
5.  There are many guests who have had their SNAP benefits cut.  These people are already struggling with food insecurities.

We Need You!

We are looking to add to our Central Free team.  We could use help in the following areas:
1.   Food Team - this team would menu plan, prep and prepare food for Central Free events.
2.  Transportation - we have friends that want to attend Sunday services at JFM, but have no transportation.  We would also like to do activities out of the neighborhood.  Sites would vary.
3.  We need a handy person who would be able to do odd jobs for Central Free and Compassion Ministries.
