Pastoral Care

I have been married to Linda since 1968 and we have two children: Rick and Lisa. Rick lives in southwest Illinois and has a daughter (Carrigan) and a son (Kelton). Lisa and her husband, Craig, reside in southern Michigan and have three daughters (Olivia, Emma and Mikaila).

I was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana and am a graduate of Francis Joseph Reitz High School. After graduation from Frankfort Wesleyan Bible College (A.B. 1970) and Asbury Theological Seminary (M. Div. 1973), I have spent 44 years in pastoral ministry. My pastorates include the Bedford, Indiana First Wesleyan Church (2 years), the Trinity Free Methodist Church in Merrillville, Indiana (7 years), the Bedford, Indiana First Free Methodist Church (12 years), the Ypsilanti, Michigan Free Methodist Church (14 years), Anderson, Indiana Wesley Free Methodist Church (5 years). After "retiring" in 2013, I have been on staff here at JFM as the Pastoral Care Pastor (a part-time position).

I enjoy golf, bicycling, reading, Starbuck’s and rooting for the Indiana University basketball team and the University of Michigan football team.
