- “Attitude reflects leadership.” Julius in the movie, Remember the Titans (one of my all-time favorite movies).
- “Priority determines capacity.” Andy Stanley in his message series, Time of Your Life (excellent speaker).
- “God never said life would be easy. The purpose in living isn’t about our personal happiness…it’s about serving God. When it comes to our relationship with the Creator, we should always…always have our yes on the table. If God asks us to do something, we do it. Our yes is a given.” Karen Kingsbury from the book, Leaving.
Favorite Bible Verse:
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31
Favorite Books to Recommend:
Books or authors that Karen likes tend to vary, depending on the season in her life. She loved The Chronicles of Narnia series as a child and then again as a parent reading to her children. As a member of JFM’s staff she has read several books. A few that stand out in her mind are, It by Craig Groeschel, Inside the Magic Kingdom by Thomas K. Connellan and The Barefoot Church by Brandon Hatmaker. For pleasure or “non-required” reading, she enjoys Christian authors such as Karen Kingsbury.
