JFM Youth Ministry is a place where teens are doing their best to love God and love others. We do this through building relationships with one another and with caring adults, learning from God’s Word, and caring for our local and global communities. We recognize the only way we’re able to do these things is if we’re willing to make a U-turn in our lives; we have to turn away from pursuing our own selfish desires and turn towards a God who loves us like no one else. If you are in grades 6-12 and are looking for a place to connect with others and with God, U-Turn is for you!
High School Sunday school meets during our second service hour (9:45-11AM) up in the Youth Room (upper level). Enjoy some free snacks and dive into God’s Word as we learn what it truly means to love God and love others.
High School U-Turn meets Sunday nights @ 6PM up in the Youth Room (upper level). Feel free to come a bit early or stay a bit late to enjoy free popcorn, play 9-Square-in-the-Air, or just hang out in the gym. Most meetings have games, worship, a short message, and time spent in Life Groups. U-Turn is finished by 8pm.
A huge part of our identity in U-Turn is directly connected with our commitment to loving God and loving others in our local and global communities through mission trips. Past trips have included local places like serving here in Jackson, regional trips to places like Elk Rapids, Escanaba, and Detroit, and international trips to Honduras.
