Q: What type of cards are accepted?
A: MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express debit or credit cards.

 

Q: How do I set up or edit my account information?
A: Click Here and select the "Create an Account" option.  If you have an account already, go ahead and login.  If you do not have an email on record at the church, please contact the church office at 517.784.3133 to get that set up.

 

Q: What will my debit/credit card statement show?
A: It will show a transaction line item for JFM Church.

 

Q: What are my giving dollars used for?
A: Your gifts are used to fund God's work through the ministries of JFM. We do this through our weekend services for adults and kids as well as through our support of local and world wide ministires. We can accomplish more together than separate.

 

Q: Does JFM have a budget?
A: Yes. Our budget each year is determined based on the goals and objectives of each ministry area within the church and is approved by the board of ministry.

 

Q: How do I participate in weekend offering if I use the automated giving program?
A: If you wish, you can still participate by dropping an empty envelope labled "I Give Online" into the basket.

 

Q: Does the church have a preferred method of payment?
A: Your bank’s Online Bill Pay system is the preferred method of giving online since this results in the lowest cost to the church.

 

Q: How long will it take for my online gift to be reflected on my bank statement or credit card account?
A: In most cases, credit and debit card transactions should post to your credit card account or bank account within 1-2 days.

 

Q: Is online giving secure?
A: Yes, our online giving system uses an HTTPS SSL encrypted connection in a PCI compliant datacenter for data sent back and forth. This is the same standard used for transferring credit card data. This protects against malicious actions such as “man-in-the-middle” attacks where an individual attempts to intercept the message. An encrypted connection means that only the correct recipient is able to read the data.

 

Q: Can I test this by giving only one time?
A: Yes, you may test Online Giving and give only once.

 

Q: Do I need to create a profile and login in order to participate in Online Giving?
A: Yes, the page will walk you through the steps.

 

Q: If I make a one-time gift, can my credit card information be stored for future transactions?
A: Yes, when asked if you want to save credit card information, just click “yes”.

 

Q: Will my gifts be included on my annual giving statements?
A: Yes.

 

Q: How can I obtain a receipt for my online gift?
A: Once your online gift is completed, you will automatically be sent an email confirmation. 

 

Q: What about my offering envelopes?
A: Envelopes are available at no cost to you and mailed to any JFM attender who requests them in order to establish faithful patterns of giving. You may continue to use your offering envelopes on special occasions, if you wish. If you prefer to no longer receive offering envelopes, email office@jfmchurch.org or call 517.784.3133.

 

Q: Can I set up recurring donations?
A: Yes, you can schedule recurring gifts on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. This will require creating a login for your church account.

 

Q: How do I edit credit/debit card or banking information if I have a recurring gift?
A: Yes, simply delete your existing profile and create a new one with your current information.

 

Q: Do I pay any additional fees to give online? 
A: There is no cost to the giver, although the church will incur a small transaction fee.
